DAY 1

DAY SUMMARY:

JAMMA EL FNA – KOUTOUBIA MOSQUE – CHEZ ALI SHOW

We are picked up from the airport by our guide, who will accompany us throughout the entire adventure. After completing customs procedures, we head to visit the famous Marrakech market – Jamma el Fna. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985, it was once a place for public executions during the day and, at night, a meeting point for musicians, vendors, acrobats, snake charmers, storytellers, dancers, fortune tellers, and other exotic characters. (Fortunately, nowadays it retains only its playful charm.) Experience the lively noise combined with the unmistakable vibe of Africa. We will also discover the Koutoubia Mosque – built by the Almohads at the end of the 12th century, the mosque, and especially its minaret, is the most important landmark of Marrakech and a symbol of the city. For those with energy and a desire to explore the culture of this country, there is an OPTIONAL visit to the Fantasia “Chez Ali Show,” Morocco’s most popular show! The Fantasia Show is a traditional evening of dance and music. Dancers and acrobats will entertain you while you enjoy dinner in Berber-style tents. Those who prefer to stay at the hotel can enjoy dinner and rest.

DAY 2

DAY SUMMARY:

AIT BENHADDOU – ATLAS STUDIOS – ATLAS MOUNTAINS

HOTEL: OUARZAZATE – AL BARAKA **** (or similar 4*)

After breakfast, we depart for Ouarzazate via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest pass in Morocco (2260 m), crossing the Atlas Mountains! Arrival at Aït Benhaddou, where we explore the fantastic site, a UNESCO World Heritage location. It is considered one of the most famous and best-preserved kasbahs (fortified towns) in the entire region. During the day, there is also an optional lunch. Later, we visit Ouarzazate, the city that has provided the backdrop for famous films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Cleopatra, and Gladiator. We stop for a visit to Atlas Film Studios, where we become film protagonists ourselves. The evening finds us in Ouarzazate for dinner and rest.

DAY 3

DAY SUMMARY:

TODRA GORGES – VISIT TO A KASHBAH

LUNCH: OPTIONAL

HOTEL: KASHBAH YASMINA  (or similar DELUXE KASHBAH)

After breakfast, we depart for the Valley of Roses, making a stop in Kelaat M’Gouna. Later, heading toward Boulmane, we arrive in Tinghir, at the heart of one of the most attractive oases in southern Morocco, and its fabulous gorges. The road then leads us to El Kelaa through the Todra Gorges, framed by massive rock walls and full of palm trees and green oases, a perfect place for hiking. We continue toward Erfoud via the Tinejdad road with its magnificent Kasbahs, visiting one Kasbah along the way, and then transfer by 4×4 vehicles to Merzouga. We check in, enjoy dinner, and witness a storybook sunset in the desert. Later, we spend a magical night under the stars in an authentic desert Kasbah, straight out of One Thousand and One Nights.

DAY 4

DAY SUMMARY:

DISCOVER SAHARA – ATV – CAMEL RIDE AT SUNSET

Today is spent in the desert, enjoying all it has to offer. Feel the silky sand as the sun paints the sky in shades of gold and pink. After breakfast, you can choose additional optional adventure activities that will take you to different parts of the desert:
– ATV on sand dunes, the most spectacular adventure the desert can offer
– “Discover Sahara” – a 4×4 jeep adventure in the desert with 6 stops at points of local interest, including a traditional village, all spiced with a bit of dune adventure
– Camel ride in the desert at sunset over the magnificent dunes

Lunch is served optionally during the day, depending on the schedule. In the evening, return to the camp for dinner and rest. Gather around the fire at night for Berber songs under the moonlight.

DAY 5

DAY SUMMARY:

ZIZ VALLEY – PALM OASIS – SURPRISE

LUNCH: OPTIONAL

After breakfast, we depart back on 4 wheels toward the Erfoud Gulf. Travel to Fes crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. The route from Erfoud to Fes passes through a rural region, lightly affected by tourism and predominantly Berber-populated. Stop at a surprise oasis, take a walk among the palm trees accompanied by valuable explanations, and enjoy lunch in a local traditional home. This is a unique experience you won’t find in any other program, offering the chance to experience authentic traditional life in a Moroccan oasis. Continue toward Midelt, a town founded at the beginning of the 20th century as a French military garrison, later expanding as Berbers from neighboring tribes settled here. Further north, as the landscapes gradually become greener, we pass through the agricultural town of Azrou, located in the middle of massive cedar forests, where you may spot monkeys, a regional endangered species. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Fes.

DAY 6

DAY SUMMARY: ROYAL PALACE – CITY PANORAMA – SYNAGOGUE – UNESCO MEDINA – MADRASA – CRAFT WORKSHOPS – CERAMIC WORKSHOP

After breakfast, we begin the city tour. Fez is home to the oldest and largest medieval city in the world. Visit the Medina of Fez, which is not only considered the cultural and spiritual center of Morocco but is also one of the country’s imperial cities. UNESCO has designated the entire Medina of Fez as a World Heritage site, with its pedestrian urban area. See the famous leather workshops and the historic Attarine Madrasa – a stunning 14th-century religious college. Later, you can test your skills in the “Ceramic Workshop”! Unleash your creativity and transform a piece of clay into art. Imagination and creativity will help you craft unique art pieces. Of course, we also visit traditional craft workshops for carpets, scarves, medicinal plants, and more. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7

DAY SUMMARY:

ROMAN CITY OF VOLUBILIS – BLUE MEDINA OF CHEFCHAOUEN

LUNCH: OPTIONAL

After breakfast, depart for Volubilis, a fascinating archaeological site in North Africa. Located at the foot of the Zerhoun massif, its name comes from the Berber word Oualili, referring to the colorful lindweed flower, abundant in the region. Continue to Chefchaouen. Enjoy a city tour of this charming small town, which was conquered by the Spanish in 1920. The fresh, clean air invites you to spend time discovering the town’s beauty. Capture panoramic photos of the city with its Spanish-inspired vibe, blue-and-white painted houses, tiny balconies, tiled roofs, and terraces adorned with citrus trees. Lunch is optional as usual. Take a two-hour walk through the most photogenic spots of this picturesque town. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 8

DAY SUMMARY:

AKCHOUR NATIONAL PARK – BLUE MEDINA OF CHEFCHAOUEN

LUNCH: OPTIONAL

After breakfast, explore Akchour, a natural beauty with stunning small waterfalls. The trail follows the river, accompanied by numerous small cascades, through a fairytale-like forest. Surrounded by the majestic Rif Mountains, you will pass stones and tree trunks covered in green moss, creating a true jungle atmosphere. The only sounds are birds singing and water flowing through small waterfalls along the valley. Lunch is optional at a restaurant near the park exit. Return to Chefchaouen for free time in the city. In the evening, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 9

DAY SUMMARY: HASSAN TOWER – MAUSOLEUM OF MOHAMMED V – ROYAL PALACE COURTYARD – KASBAH OF THE UDAYAS – CASABLANCA COAST

After breakfast, depart for Rabat, the coastal capital of Morocco since 1912. This modern yet well-preserved city features many fascinating historical sites. Visit the impressive Hassan Tower, the minaret of an incomplete mosque begun in 1195 – construction stopped when Sultan Yacub al-Mansour died in 1199. Opposite Hassan Tower is the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, containing the tombs of the Moroccan king Mohammed V and his two sons. Explore the Royal Palace courtyard in Rabat and the Kasbah of the Udayas, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, where French colonial heritage blends with traditional Arab culture. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy dinner. In the evening, those interested can explore local bars in the city.

DAY 10

After breakfast, visit the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, perhaps Morocco’s most iconic mosque. It is one of the largest mosques in the world, with a capacity of up to 105,000 worshippers. Completed in 1993, the mosque took about seven years to build, involving thousands of craftsmen and artisans. Next, explore the most attractive landmarks of Marrakech, Morocco’s second-oldest imperial city, known as the Pearl of the South. Founded by the Almoravid dynasty at the end of the 11th century, the city features rich history and architecture. Visit Bahia Palace, built at the end of the 19th century and decorated by the finest Moroccan artisans of the time. The palace – intended to be the most magnificent of its era – presents a refined blend of Andalusian and Moorish styles. Continue to the Majorelle Gardens, designed by French artist Jacques Majorelle in 1924 and later acquired by Yves Saint Laurent in 1980, showcasing around 300 plant species from five continents, including palms, cacti, and aquatic plants. Don’t miss the famous souks, each dedicated to a particular craft or trade – from spices to leatherwork or metalwork. The countless tiny shops offer visitors the classic Moroccan pastime of bargaining. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Due to the busy schedule, there is no stop for lunch this day.
